To the Clergy and Laity of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles
Dear Friends,
The Search Committee is completing its work of identifying candidates for election as 8th Bishop of the Diocese of Los Angeles, and the names of nominees who have been approved by the Standing Committee will soon be announced. Plans call for the Episcopal News to publish the slate on September 12 in advance of the November 7-8 election by Diocesan Convention.
If you, as a clergyperson, have discerned a calling to the ministry of Bishop Diocesan in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles and believe you should be a petition candidate, we would welcome your application. And, if there is a clergyperson to whom you would like to forward this information, please do so. A link to the application is here. We will begin accepting petition applications on September 12.
The application and all supplemental materials must be received by Friday, September 19, 2025, by 6 p.m. PST. The Petitioner’s application is not considered complete without the Signatory Petition Form, here. Late applications will not be accepted.
