Gracious God, we offer our prayers of thanksgiving and praise as Sarah is called as the first woman to be archbishop of Canterbury. Global Anglicans are united in the way we pray but not the way we understand our promise to respect the dignity of every human being. Inspire and protect Sarah as she promotes unity when she can and justice when she must. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
