Coming on a Saturday this year, Epiphany was a busy feast indeed in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles. I was along in the morning as St. Bede’s Episcopal Church in Mar Vista and the Rev. Jennifer Wagner Pavia celebrated her new ministry as rector, in the afternoon moderating a panel discussion on immigration justice as the Church of the Epiphany – Los Angeles, and in the evening at The Church of Our Saviour in San Gabriel as we began a month-long celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Rev. Florence Li Tim-Oi’s ordination as the Anglican Communion’s first woman priest.
