St. James in-the-City, in cooperation with the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, will be the site of the acclaimed chamber music series “Sundays Live,” which began in 1948 at Exposition Park and has been presented for the past 29 years at LACMA.

Due to the museum’s current renovation project, Sundays Live will find a new home at St. James’s Church, featuring chamber, orchestral, choral and solo artists from Southern California and around the globe, who will present their free concert offerings at 6 p.m. each Sunday, streaming live and on KUSC’s Radio On Demand. St. James’ will continue its traditional Evensong services and International Laureates Organ Series in addition to the Sundays Live programs.

The inaugural concert will be on Sept. 29 at 6 p.m. and will feature harpist Marcia Dickstein and Friends; Amy Hershberger and Luanne Homzy (violin), David Walther (viola), Angela Wiegand (flute) and Leslie Reed (English horn), playing music of Debussy, Bax and others.

St. James’ Church is located at 3903 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles 90010. For information, visit STJLA.org. Live streaming will be posted at www.SundaysLive.org. For weekly downloads, visit www.kusc.org and click on Radio/On Demand.
