Almighty God, whose unblinking eye weeps at every life we take: Help us be mindful of the thousands who have perished already this year in wars in Afghanistan, Ethiopia, Myanmar, and Yemen even as we pray for those who have died and are at risk in Ukraine. It is not that we want to worry less about a war in Europe. Yet we grieve our comparative indifference to wars elsewhere. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
