Another Amazing Episcopalian! Christopher Stephan (right) was working for United Farm Workers co-founder Cesar Chavez at the time of his death in 1993. What’s now called the Cesar E. Chavez National Monument in Keene, California was Christopher’s workplace. Since then he’s served in non-profit management, these days at Classical KUSC. Christopher assisted Canon for Common Life Bob Williams and me with a videotaping this afternoon at historic Church of The Advent in Los Angeles, where he serves on the vestry, supporting the Rev. Vanessa Mackenzie, Advent’s rector of 22 years, my host when I visit Advent again in a few days, on the First Sunday of Advent.
