The Rev. Canon Dr. Mary Crist last year as the St. Michael’s Apartments at St. Michael’s Riverside Episcopal Ministry Center was nearing completion. Its 50 units of permanent supportive housing are now fully occupied.
Almighty and merciful God, as nighttime temperatures plummet in southern and central coast California, we ask an extra measure of your grace and blessing for our unhoused and housing insecure neighbors and give thanks for all who work for their comfort and safety in the municipalities in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, especially Mayor Karen Bass, as well as for the housing and food outreach-driven lay and ordained leaders at our missions and parishes, including those operating, building, and planning affordable housing.
