We’ve been praying this weekend and today for all Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles folks threatened by fire, especially St. Richard’s in Lake Arrowhead and St. Columba’s in Big Bear. Some St. Richard’s members were evacuated, including priest in charge the Rev. Canon Gary Bradley and the Rev. Peg Bradley, who spent the last two nights away from their mountain home.
Meanwhile, as the Airport Fire flared Monday afternoon in Orange County, St. John’s Episcopal School officials sent students home early from after school activities and closed the Rancho Santa Margarita campus. St John Chrysostom Church members near the fire are poised for evacuation. The church office is inviting members to offer spare bedrooms to those affected.
Please pray for first responders and all those living and working in the fires’ path, and for cooler temperatures and low winds.
