Gracious God, we pray for all those buffeted by this week’s historic wind emergency in southern California and especially for those in the path of wildfires, including in Pacific Palisades, where St. Matthew’s School and parish were evacuated midday today, with all reported safe. We pray as well for first responders. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
