Gracious God, as our thoughts turn again to the service of your sanctuary this weekend, we give you thanks and praise for St Augustine by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, offering welcome to the people of The Parish of St. Matthew and St. Matthew’s School, whose church building was damaged in the fires; for St. Barnabas Eagle Rock, offering Sunday worship space to the people of Saint Mark’s Episcopal Church in Altadena, whose building was destroyed; and the members of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles Altar Guild, shown at work on Thursday at St. Paul’s Commons, Echo Park, assembling worship supplies for St. Mark’s.
