Gracious God, through your prophet Isaiah you promised, “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you.” Among the outward signs of your mercy are the prudence your people demonstrate by staying home during the storm if they can and, when they can’t, the extra care they take, especially while driving. We pray in thanksgiving for the deans of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, who are keeping tabs on our folks from the central coast to the San Diego County line. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
