Holy and eternal God, among whose mercies in our lives is strength for the journey, we lift up all those beginning their second week with the wind and wildfire emergency in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, especially our neighbors mourning the deaths of loved ones, all who have lost family homes and church homes, evacuees, first responders and especially firefighters, pastors and social workers, and those battered and exhausted by bad news and anxiety. Buoy them all with the hope of your love. Through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
