Almighty and most merciful God, drive from us all weakness of body, mind, and spirit; that, being restored to wholeness, we may with free hearts become what you intend us to be and accomplish what you want us to do; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

— Book of Common Prayer

Gracious God, great Pie in the Sky, we take a break from our solemnities this Thursday in the fourth week of Lent to make note of Pi Day on March 14 — which is to say 3.14, which is to say the first three digits of Pi. When we divide the circumference of your grace by the diameter of our paths from the beginning to the end of our earthy lives, we get a love that, like the computation of Pi, goes on forever. We give you thanks for the incalculably great love you give us in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
