O God of grace and glory, we remember before you this day our brother Leonard. We thank you for giving him to us, his family and friends, to know and to love on our earthy pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn, especially Drea, Brian, Ron, Kasey, PJ, Meaghan, McKenzie, Maddie, Erik, Frannie, and Riley. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Leonard Bovee, father of our son-in-law PJ Bovee, died on the Saturday before Thanksgiving. PJ was eulogist and vocalist and I presider and preacher today at Leonard’s celebration of life at Fairhaven Memorial Services in Mission Viejo. Deacon Randy McMahon of Trinity Roman Catholic Church in Ladera Ranch presided at a committal service at Ascension Catholic Cemetery in Lake Forest.
