Anne Sawyer, who was warmly welcomed by well over 200 congregants. Meeting her gracious spouse and colleague, the Rev. Susan Anderson Smith, chaplain at the Tucson Episcopal school that Dean Sawyer founded. Hearing the glorious St. John’s Choir, under the direction of Christopher Gravis. Watching the Rev. Margaret Hudley McCauley gather the children around to tell them the Easter story. Enjoying fellowship, including with the Easter bunny, in the garden after services. That was my glorious Easter Day, about as close to heaven as one can get in church. Christ is risen! The Lord is risen indeed! Alleluia!
