Jos Tharakan
Almighty God, the giver of all good gifts, in your divine providence you have appointed various orders in your Church: Give your grace, we humbly pray, to Jos Tharakan as he is consecrated and ordained today as 14th bishop of Idaho; and so fill him with the truth of your doctrine and clothe him with holiness of life, that he may faithfully serve before you, to the glory of your great Name and for the benefit of your holy Church; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

I’ll be praying from afar for Bishop Tharakan and his family, his predecessor the Rt. Rev. Brian Thom, and the whole church during today’s service in Boise. Especially because he’s a Province VIII colleague, I’d be present but for local ministry – the Rev.
