New Community, the multicultural ministries program of the diocese, will continue its series of full-day Asian Immersion experiences in which lay and clergy leaders will learn more about and engage with Asian cultures and communities on Saturday, May 11, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with “Exploring the Filipino Culture and Communities.”
Hosted by Bishop Suffragan Diane Jardine Bruce at Holy Trinity-St. Benedict Episcopal Church, Alhambra (pictured), the day will include presentations and discussions on the Filipino populations in Southern California. Presenters will include the Rev. Brent Quines (Holy Trinity-St. Benedict Church) and the Rev. Gerry Engnan (St. Mark’s Church, Van Nuys).
Holy Trinity-St. Benedict Church is located at 412 N. Garfield Avenue, Alhambra. Reservations are required.
