Chet and April Talton
Gracious and loving God, we give you thanks today for the ministry of the Rt. Rev. Chet Talton, former bishop suffragan in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles — so kind, and so devoted to justice; such a great pastor, and a true prophet; so gentle, and so strong. As he is honored today at 3 p.m. at St. John’s Cathedral in a festive service where all are welcome, we identify his gifts as the very ones that will renew our church for all the challenges of these stormy times; through Jesus Christ, our Lord, Amen.
