Mighty God, the dome of your creation grew suddenly darker this afternoon in Louisville and unleashed a summer deluge that Kentuckians took in stride but southern Californians reckoned as strange and wonderful. As we come to the halfway point of the 81st General Convention, anticipating the election of a new Presiding Bishop tomorrow, and giving thanks for the reelection of a President of the House of Deputies today, keep us joyful, steady, and true, since even when winds shift and skies darken, you are always in your heaven, and we are always your beloved. Through Christ our Lord, Amen.
