My scrapbook from this afternoon’s GLEAM garden party at your episcopal residence in Pasadena, an annual celebration hosted by the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles’ Commission on LGBGT+ Ministry. Its devoted chair of many years, the Very Rev. Canon Christopher Montella, passed the rainbow baton to his successor, Thomas Diaz. The transfer ceremony was moderated by veteran human rights advocate the Rev. Susan Russell, the diocese’s staff liaison to the commission. After two hours of fellowship on a lovely afternoon, we adjourned until next week’s LA Pride parade, when I’ll be among those representing the diocese.
