What a kind, wise priest the Holy Spirit made in the Rev. Canon George F. Woodward III, former rector of St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church in San Marino, now incumbent in the same office at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, San Miguel de Allende. George was in town to preside at a wedding, enabling us to have lunch and compare notes on a wide range of shared interests. A longtime supporter and leader at Cristosal, the human rights organization, he’s especially worried about Central American nations’ deteriorating democracies.
