A week of discernment about discipleship during our spring House of Bishops meeting in Alabama, which wrapped last night, came down to a core spiritual direction dictum. We have each been marvelously made in order to bring God’s realm of love, peace, justice, and righteousness for all God’s people just a little bit closer. Maybe at lot closer, depending on our moment. But no one’s going to do the work for us. Bishops aren’t heading home with any easy answers. Just this question: “Who does our God in Christ say you are?” More reflections soon, by the grace of God. In the meantime, a few photos.
