During my week in the Holy City last month, it was a treat to see Maya and Ibrahim Abu Rakabah, who operate St. George’s Bazaar in East Jerusalem, down the street from St. George’s Cathedral, Jerusalem and its pilgrim guest house. With the city’s Arab workers especially dependent on pilgrimages and tourism, you can imagine what it’s been like since March 2020. Ibrahim and Maya rallied by building up their on-line business.
