About American Friends of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem (AFEDJ)
Our mission is to transform lives in the Middle East through support of the two dozen schools and hospitals of the Episcopal Diocese of Jerusalem. AFEDJ offers a direct, secure channel to support the remarkable Christian witness of our Anglican brothers and sisters who minister in Gaza, the West Bank, Jordan, Israel, and Lebanon to some of the most vulnerable people in the world.
When people have access to comprehensive healthcare and when children have access to quality education irrespective of their religion, ethnicity, or ability to pay, peace and prosperity become possible. The values of equity, justice, and respect for the dignity of all are at the heart of our efforts. We invite you to learn more.
We give thanks for the support from many people across the Diocese of Los Angeles. This year we are especially grateful for the generosity of Mrs. Saroj Mankau, a member of St. George’s in Riverside, for her gift that will support the full costs for education, boarding, and therapy for five deaf and deaf-blind students at the Holy Land Institute for the Deaf in Salt, Jordan. We invite you to join Mrs. Mankau. Learn about this remarkable ministry in the video above.
