GFS-LA

This year’s virtual exhibit of Girls’ Friendly Society features our new grant program, GFS Outreach. Any church in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles can submit an application for funding of outreach. Applicant programs should support the GFS primary goal of: helping girls find friendships, develop relationships and support each other. Any kind of program that supports this goal is eligible to be considered. The first recipient of this award is the Firefly Electrical Training Program at St. Stephen’s, West Hollywood. GFS-LA is a 150 year-old Episcopal organization, with worldwide affiliations.

GFS-LA continues to support branches which exist at churches in the Diocese of Los Angeles. Branches are founded at the church level to provide additional fellowship for girls at church and in the community. Programs for social justice activities and for fuller understanding of the Bible and the church are available for free download.

GFS-LA representatives will be available in the Exhibit Hall to answer questions.
